Type A Travel Tips

For my fellow type A travelers... xx CC.

As a Florida raised now Midwest transplant (8 years?!). I have deemed myself a professional traveler. I have spent much time traveling home to Tampa from Chicago and Iowa in college, visiting my twin brothers who go to different colleges, traveling for work and for personal… (you get it lol)— so basically I should pay rent to American Airlines seat 8C (and if I’m lucky 3F). I have this down to a science lately so here we go!

The “base” aka THE Large L.L. Bean Tote. I have tried everything from a never full esc bag to the beis weekender and this is the best. Depending where I am traveling you can always find it with 2-8 (I swear I can fit 8) pairs of shoes at the bottom. Bonus you can customize it with a monogram or fun quote.

Then comes the bag in a bag aka the ultimate pouch— Dagne Dover toiletry bags. I have various sizes and even use these for my makeup and skincare products. Bonus they’re machine washable!!! Plus I find them on TRR a lot too. So pick a color and stick to it, even match them to your suitcase/carry-on.

Now we fill! One pouch consists of health esc items. Think Arrae Bloat pills, hand cream, Armra, electrolytes, hand sanitizer, mini hair brush (IYKYK!) and a mini deodorant (is it just me or am I always sweating while traveling lol).

The next pouch consists of make-up esc items. Keep it simple just for airport touch ups (we all want to look our best!). I always keep a REFY brow gel, Saie concealer, and a Summer Friday’s lip (OFC!).

Lately I have been keeping my mini Longchamp in my bag as well with misc items such as my wallet (I snagged this fun cherry one on TRR and tagged a few extra here!), sunglasses of choice and airpods.
